About the Artist

Brad Sells has been a full-time wood sculptor and the proprietor of Bark Studio in Cookeville, Tennessee since 1999.

Sells at work on Peace, Wellness, Hope and Strength for the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

His work is represented in museums, public installations and private collections across the nation.

Sells and his artistic process have been featured in two PBS documentaries produced by award-winning film maker, Todd Jarrell:

Tree Safari: A Sculptural Journey (South Africa), 2006

Tree Safari: The Koa Connection (Hawaii), 2007

Jarrell and Sells are planning a third Tree Safari excursion, this time to Central America in search of Big Leaf Mahogany in 2013.

Sells’ current work includes a diverse selection of intriguing sculptural pieces and custom furniture.

 

FYI: Sells attended Tennessee Tech University, graduating in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Academic Minors included: Art (Appalachian Center for Craft campus), Geology, and Biology.
